Course Description

This is a live in-person training that will include demonstrations of small working solar PV systems. The syllabus of this course follows the NABCEP PV Associate Job Task Analysis. All training slides, live demonstrations and 17 quizzes are consistent with the JTA. A copy of the PVA JTA can be found at https://www.nabcep.org/resource/pv-associate-jta/This course was developed by Azimuth Solar and has been delivered more than 30 timesThe training material is continually updated to meet the latest industry developments. A copy of training slides will be provided upon request.

Prerequisites: Proficiency with basic math, including simple geometry and algebra, as well as a basic understanding of physical science

    • Exam - A take home practice exam will be discussed, with solutions on the last day.

Exam/record of completion:   A certificate of completion will be provided to all students at the end of the course.  A separate NABCEP PV Associate certificate of knowledge will be given to those who successfully pass the online exam proctored by NABCEPThis NABCEP PVA certificate will count for 18 credits toward the 58 training credits required by those who seek full NABCEP PV Installation Professional Certification. 

Special Instructions:  This course is designed for those involved with the development and installation of solar energy systems, including installers, salespeople, project managers, construction managers, and project administrators. 

All training and certification courses are offered at no cost to participants on a first come, first serve basis. Due to the time commitment for this course, registrants will only be allowed to signup for this course if they are not registered for any other courses through the DCSEU that present a time conflict (unless that course is self-paced).This program is designed to expand the local green workforce and local business opportunities.
